Overview
Keynotes Editor is a Revit API add-in for managing the keynote TXT file used by an active Revit project. It can load the project's current keynote file or open another TXT file, then display the keynote hierarchy as a tree with Key Value and Keynote Text. Users can add root or child keynotes, edit values and text, delete complete branches, move keynotes to another parent, or reorganise the hierarchy by drag and drop. The editor includes Key Value search, up to 50 undo snapshots, duplicate-key detection and automatic duplicate repair, and validation for missing fields, invalid parent keys, tabs and line breaks. Saving creates a timestamped backup, supports Save As, preserves header/comment content and detected file encoding, and can reload the Revit Keynote Table immediately. The edited file can also be set as the project's current keynote source before reloading. Separate project targets are included for Revit 2024 and Revit 2025.
